I have always supported the National Trust and my family visit many of their properties/gardens throughout the year however I am extremely disappointed with the way in which they are treating this family and business

The National Trust need reminding that they are supposed to protect and preserve our history and heritage, not destroy it. And for what? TOILETS! Generations of this family have been part of this beautiful place, long before the National Trust got its grubby hands on it! Tommy can tell you more true stories about The Causeway than the NT ever will. I've heard them giving tourists false information. To allow this is madness!

Such a disgrace, calling into McConaghy's shop is very much part of visiting the Causeway. Lovely family. We need this shop!!!!

An absolute disgrace that a family business should be discarded to facilitate toilets. Such corrupt staff working at the visitors centre. This shop is part of the history that accompanies the stories of the Causeway for visitors. This is to ensure visitors will have no other option than to pay to access the shop at the NT centre.

Places are made made by the people who work live and play there. Tommy McConaghy's Grandfather was the entrepreneur who started selling souvenirs down at the stones in 1912. I hope my signature can go with everyone else who wants the National Trust to build toilets somewhere else on the sprawling site which the National Trust lease from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council.
