Ah, come on National Trust. Protect these national treasures. These stories and histories cannot be recreated and are what makes our island so unique in world history.

The McConaughey family have been a part of the causeway for Generations it is a shame that the National Trust would just want to throw them to the Wayside they deserve to stay where they are

I recently visited The Causeway and McConaghy's shop. This shop is what those of us from around the world have always valued about Ireland, Northern or Southern it doesn't matter, we assume and cherish the idea that individuals matter. The fact that this man and his family have a personal connection with The Causeway has more authenticity and soul than any multi-media presentation some computer geek can put together at the Vistor's Center. When you destroy the link with the Causeway that local people have had going back centuries, you cheapen the entire enterprise. Why destroy this authentic little business, run by a family who knows more about The Causeway than anyone else can ever know. For what?

This is an absolute disgrace as the MaConaghys have been there for 70 years running a brilliant family business. As usual the national trust are showing their true colours that all they are interested in is Money they can't get away with forcing these good people out of business.

Disgusting behaviour from the national trust. Not happy with already ripping people off at the giants causeway with their extortionate price

The NT are a disgrace and are reneging on agreements when they acquired the site from Moyle District Council. .. they should be exposed for the ruthless tyrants they are..

Why should a trader suffer for your lack of foresight and forward planning. You are actually ripping off the tourists as it is by trying to force them into paying for admission to the causeway, when in actual fact it is the visitor centre they are paying admission to.
