Stop the madness... we need inner city green spaces. Enough is enough. Stop gold digging for more inner city tax dollars from land tax and let the people live nicer lives. Goofs.

I don't belong to any course, so I need the City courses

The City is nuts even thinking about closing a recreation facility. Some may justify the closure of a golf course as being good due the 'elitism' of golf, but what about the fiasco of the bike lane plans for even less people. get real City Council.

Calgary is one of the few cities of that size that have good city managed golf courses at a reasonable cost. Please save this course from becoming a conrete jungle - there is enough space in the SE and also in the NE corridor for the businesses to choose from.

This is the best inner city course Calgary has. It has the only small par 3 course that is perfect for children, seniors and anyone who wants to learn, or perhaps only has and hour or two to golf. This is a great place for tax dollars to go for quality of life for all Calgarians. Planning to get rid of this course sends a strong msg that we may have the wrong people working for us in governing offices.

We don't want to lose the golf course or any green space in NE Calgary

I live in NE Calgary. My husband loves the McCall Lake Golf Course. I don't want to see the City close down the one place he feels relaxed and energized when he's playing golf on his days off during the Summer months.

Take my money out of the bike paths and put it towards the golf course

There is almost nothing in N.E. Calgary as far as outdoor recreation, parks, or green spaces. I know because I have lived here for 18 years. If they close McCall the N.E. will be nothing but an industrial wasteland. Then I'll move out of Calgary for sure!

The closing of McCall Lake will increase the demand at primarily Shaganappi and Maple Ridge but the effect will also trickle down to both regulation and executive length length 9 hole courses. Players will notice the availability of Tee times decrease and be forced to play other public courses or take up a more affordable sport. Our population is still growing, which brings more golfers to our city. I see the closing of this course as very narrow sighted and cannot believe our elected officials are onside with the proposal.

This is a quality City of Calgary course and I would like to see it kept in operation. Also, other city courses will become more difficult to get tee times at. This may cause many golfers to lose interest in golfing at City of Calgary courses.

I strongly support saving McCall Lake golf course. This course kept a good family friend of mine active and healthy during retirement, and has value as part of promoting an actively and dynmaic city.

McCall is my favourite city course. I can't believe the city is saying this course is not busy enough. It's packed everytime I play there.

save McCall we need to save this nice course that so many use . It is also the only one in the north end of the city.

Spokane has 4 eighteen hole golf courses for a city of 250,000. Calgary has two for a population of over a million. Traffic on 32 Ave is awful and will get worse if more commercial property is put in. It is ridiculous to even think of closing it. Ware house space is over built.We do not need more

Disgraceful. Close a course in the south!!!

keep McCall open, I live in the deep south and play McCall every second week, to close the course for commercial development is a disgrace. Green Space in this city is not to be traded, sold or bartered away, it belongs to all citizens his city and is not for sale, The monies to keep this course as well as, pools , sports fields and ball diamonds could be budgeted, just stop building blue rings in the middle of nowhere for starters,

Increasing the commercial lots in this area will cause more traffic problems to the already overcrowded streets in this area.
