This golf course is an affordable course for seniors. Leave it be! The money for maintenance is better spent here for the physical well-being of all participants!

Please keep the course open. Cut administration costs first.

As a senior I enjoy using the city run golf courses. Maintains our good health and wellbeing. I don't disagree with my tax dollars going to mainain swiming pools, rec. centres, etc. so I believe the City should continue to fund McCall Lake golf course.

ANY LOSS of green space within our beautiful City is simply a tragedy. If swimming pools and other rec centres get taxpayer dollars, why not golf courses - we have an aging population. The whole proposal needs to be rethought.

You cannot be serious about trying to save money. The inefficiencies of the way does everything, including running golf courses it is no wonder you lose money. Tell me how much money do you make at running Fish Creek Park. I know my corner park does not make money either. Maybe we should close those down as well. Governments are supposed to take care of things that are given to them by it's citizens, not take what we have and sell them all off.

I have tried 3 times on the CALGARY HERALD comment and have had my post erased. I am presenting it here in hope that the FACTs that I think are relevant to the City's impending decision and should be know. EARL GREY GOLF COURSE is on CITY OWNED LAND, the lease was RENEWED in 2013 so that this EXCLUSIVE and PRIVATE CLUB could continue to enjoy the CITY OWNED PROPERTY. IT could have easily been close and sold to provide funds to upgrade CITY PUBLIC COURSES. I want the decision to sell of McCall to be justified with the renewal of the EARL GREY LEASE.

We need more recreation places --green space instead of concrete blocks.

Typical City of Calgary tactics, Has anyone looked at the survey? What a joke. I really enjoy the course, the par 3 is fantastic before work. If this was a NW or SW golf course the city would be taking a very different approach.

Please don't close McCall Lake golf course. It's one of my favorite courses, and I believe it's the favorite site for a lot of people. I'm really disappointed to hear this news. The city should improve the quality of the people's life, not decrease it!

McCall Lake is golf course, it will be a great disappointment if the City closes it.

I was shocked to hear closing this beautiful and affordable family course. There are millions of reasons to open more courses for Calgarian’s needs not other way around. I would very appreciate previous city planer to open these courses and reserved these green spaces. Not sure the value of the land will reduce the city budge short fall to what level. It is absolutely a short term vision against Calgarian’s life style and demands. I am hardly imagine if there will be a chance to open a new course in those junky brown spaces around us in my life. The decision was made so quick without any public hearing at least not me to aware of. Is this the right way what city should do?

Great course esp for those just starting the game and families. If city wants to divest sell as a course . Don't split it up. City has too few courses already esp those close in and those open to public.

Absolutely we need to save the course. It is a beautiful course. It is great for both a long game and a short game, plus it has great wild life. Why is it that they have to wreck everything for the NE. Maybe they should go play on the Silverwing course and compare the two. We have enough industrial in our quadrant without adding more.

Keep the course open. We need affordable golf facilities for the average Calgarian. The City subsidizes transit and other facilities, so why not a golf course? Give your head a shake, Nenshi!

The mayor and all the council members in favor of closing McCall should play a round there before they condemn this wonderful course. How much will the reuse plan cost?
