I understand the school need more space but I think to not make it possible for the Marple Childcare Co. To stay till July is unfair on the children in the nursery. School's should understand the importance of a stable routine for children and this action is not in the best interests of any one.

There are many misconceptions on this petition. As I have been informed by someone who knows, the governor involved with the school took no part of the negotiations and is no longer a governor at RH. MCC have always paid a rent to school which was agreed with the then HT when they moved into the new school. The HUGE hike in rent is the reason MCC cannot continue at RH and I also know that MCC have paid their rent and this is a slanderous rumor being spread by certain people associated with the school. This situation could very easily have been avoided if all the person involved had discussed it and shared the proposals with the parents and children, as they are the ones that matter. I wonder if there is anyway back from this situation? This situation isn't good for either MCC or the school who are there to serve the community.

Both my nephews benefit from this service and are happy there. The fact that it is a quality, local service valued by many, then were it to close, this would have a detrimental impact on the community it serves so well.

@Nicola Edwards You have been misinformed. Some facts:
1) One of the Rose Hill governors was also associated with Marple Childcare but resigned as there was a conflict of interest when the school decided they wanted to raise the rent so significantly.
2) Marple Childcare has paid ALL the rent asked for by the school. There is paperwork to prove this. Anyone who says different is either lying or does not know the full facts.
3) Marple Childcare is a non-profit organisation. All their finances go to keeping the costs as low as possible (most people are on minimum wage). They have no spare funds to pay the increased costs which the school is now demanding.
This is a disgraceful act by the school to force such a valued partner into such a position, without consultation with parents of children who are in preschool or school itself.

They pulled down a school near me and built houses. Now there is not enough primary school places. Disgraceful.

Tina and her attentive team have been second to none with our kids, I cannot believe this is facing closure. I work in schools and the 'us and them' division at Rose Hill is evident. Such a shame, whatever the reason, it surely cannot justify this loss.
And in April!! Sure it's not an April fools joke?? What about the kids and the parents who rely on the safe secure service they provide? Surely the nursery isn't going to be able to squeeze them all in???
Genuinely shocked. Needs sorting out.
