* How would you know as 'fact' that a company paid that exact amount?
* Why would a company pay a year's rent in advance? Especially if they are leaving in April?
* How would you know as 'fact' confidential knowledge about future rent negotiations? (which I somehow doubt were £55,000)
* You say the letter states Marple Childcare will be "shortly ceasing its operations" implying it is closing down, then you link to a letter that actually says "cease to operate its services from within the Rose Hill Primary School" an entirely different thing.
Your 'facts' seem anything but and I will wait to hear from Marple Childcare and Rose Hill School if it's all the same to you.

More facts are coming out.
It has been prooved that Marple Childcare paid the whole years rent of £7,900 until the end of the school year.
Apparently the head teacher actualy told the teachers at a staff meeting that this rent had not been paid. We no that this is not true. If the head teacher did not no the rent was paid then whoever manages the shool finances is incompitent. If it is a lie we should ask why the head teacher said this to her teachers.
We also no that the head teachers and the board of guvernors decided to raise Marple Childcares rent to £55,000 per year from the £7,900 they pay now. This is a 700% raise which a not for profet orginisation cannot afford in any way. One of the Rose Hill guvernors is also part of the Marple Childcare management team and had to leave the board to stop there being a conflict of interest during the guvernors meetings.
On Friday 15th January the school sent out a newsletter (a copy is hear http://www.marple-uk.com/smf/index.php?topic=6681.msg40044#msg40044) that told the parents of the schools children that Marple Childcare would "shortly be ceasing its operation"s. This was done when Marple Childcare still belived they were negoshiating. It was also the first time that staff of Marple Childcare and the parents had knew about this situation. Marple Childcare had to rush out a letter to the parents on the Monday saying what the situation is. There was a whole weekend for rumers to grow before Marple Childcare could put their side of the story.
How difficult would it be for Rose Hill School to tell there parents at the same time as Marple Childcare told theres? Then parents of the school and preschool would no of all the facts at the same time. We have to ask areselfs why the school decided to do it in this way. Is it incompitence of is there some more political motive behind this?

My grandson attends this nursery with his friends and is very happy. For the nursery to be forced out of the school mid year will be devastating for the children. I would say that Rose Hill school shows a total lack of care and thought for the welfare of the children, many of whom will be attending the school. One would think if the school needs the room they would at least give notice to quit at the end of the school year thus causing less disruption to the children and giving people more time to find alternative arrangements. If I was on the governing board of the school I would be most concerned for the welfare of the children and if I was a parent I would have reservations about sending my child to a school that would do such a thing. Why wouldn't you want such a good nursery on your premises to complement what the school already provides?

The service that MCC both offers and delivers is nothing but a credit to Rose Hill so why force them to close?? It must stay!

This "forced" closure is absolutely disgusting. I have 4 grandchildren who attend RH use the after school club facility provided by MCC and it is vital to their parents. Staff who work there are absolutely lovely and deserve better!! And that's not to mention those poor children who will be disrupted in their last term before starting school. So so wrong.

Have had the privilege of my child being looked after by the fine staff of this local venture. They do a great job and deserve to keep running.

We need more preschool provision not less. Cant believe Rose Hill have let things get this out of hand. We need strong leadership and a sensible solution asap for the sake of the children!

The knock on effect of taking this service off-site and out of the hands of this genuinely brilliant/caring team is going to be massive and will affect the most vulnerable members of our community the most.

I'm floored at this news. I have used the services of mcc for over 7 years and couldn't have gone back to work without them. I'm sure many people have chosen rose hill for their children knowing they had excellent wrap-around care. I know there will be something else offered but what about the staff who will potentially be out of work and the parents who aren't yet guaranteed that their child will get into the new facility - they can't put their jobs on hold! Just find it amazing that you wouldn't want to keep a pre-school that has been graded as Outstanding by ofsted. Surely the school should be proud to be associated with mcc??? It's too late to 'wait and see' what the school have to offer. Surely there should have been some kind of consultation????

obviously it may be in the interests of Rosehill to develop the land which Marple Childcare sits on. However, this is a brilliant nursery and very sad for the local children who use it as they love it. I have a real problem with them being forced to close at Easter - meaning preschoolers have to change school environment twice in the space of 5 months. That is going to be really hard for them to adapt to at that age. Stockport Council should help them to fund their relocation as its a crying shame if this wonderful team cannot set up somewhere else locally.
