The environs of Malahide Castle are not there to be privatised but to be enjoyed by the public. The proposal by Fingal Council is ill considered & one has to wonder ultimately who is it that gains the most from this? It's not the people of Malahide and that's a fact.

Progress doesn't equate to building over every last piece of untouched nature. Progress equates to having the restraint build over nature and leaving pieces of untouched nature for generations to come to enjoy.

Leave Malahide Castle alone for the historic and natural environment that it is. This proposal is a commercial gimmick and is just wrong. It will spoil the castle and grounds.

Malahide castle is for the people; if developers want land there are other sites around, why deprive woodland animals, plants and wildlife of their natural habitat just to make fat cats fatter

An EIS is required before such a proposal can be finalised.
Planning permission and legal approval is required before proposal can be considered,
Sylvesters GAA club must receive written guarantees - not promises on funding and facilities
