Save Malahide Castle Demense Woodlands

I appear the destruction of malahide castle woodland

Woodlands such as this are not formed overnight and certainly cannot be easily replaced if replaced at all. There's is no justifiable reason in my mind to allow this to go through.

I grew up in Malahide and spent an enormous amount of time exploring and playing in the woodlands. In an area which has already seen so much destruction of natural habitats in recent decades, the idea of scrapping what remains of its forests is unacceptable.

There's very little woodland in and around the city as it is. There are plenty of other parts of the area and county that could benefit from New attractions without destructing the already very limited forest.

Yet another fail in a long line of fails from Fingal coco.

Unless absolutely UNAVOIDABLE woodlands should be preserved for future generations. Unless we want to become the Brown Isle instead of the Emerald Isle in a few generations.

Malahide demise should be considered a national treasure and not tampered with for small gains.

I object strongly to the mooted project in Malahide Castle woodland. This country has lost enough woodland to developers already.

Don't the children deserve better?

There's too few forested areas with such access, it should be left in its natural state

We don't need any further destruction of the castle grounds. Enough space has been surrendered to cater for the expansion of the cricket club and the Avoca development. These woods are an integral part of the castle and must be preserved for the sustainability of the natural habitat.

We are one of the luckiest towns in Ireland to have such natural beauty all around us. Please preserve our little piece of solitude in this crazy selfish world x

This will ruin the park for everyone

The grounds of Malahide Castle are as important as the castle itself. These woodlands are full of very old trees. To propose development there would mean cutting down more than a few of these trees. Before any development is put to work in Malahide Castle, the woodland areas must be assessed, and if there are any protected species found the work should not go underway. Fingal County Council should not be simply allowed to do this without consultation. Malahide Castle is not a privately owned themepark, it's a public space.

We all like a summer breeze but we cut the trees , we all like a summer dip in seas but we drain the seas . Nature doesn't belong to us nor do we control it . Nature owns us and nature controls us .

Please keep Malahide Castle and gardens as it is. It's a beautiful place!

These trees should never be touched!

Please consider the environment and halt this plan to destroy this beautiful piece of nature.

I can understand why this development is being proposed because more business for Malahide would be great. However, this development would hugely affect Malahide Village, bringing more traffic congestion. I would like to know which people passed this proposal in Fungal County Council. Concerts have already been held in Malahide Castle grounds and there is already a playground in Malahide Castle. This is also destructive to natural wildlife and trees. Please reconsider your decision!
