These woods are already enjoyed freely by lots of children. They are accessible, near and complementary to the playground and as safe as such woods can be. It would be a great great shame if they did not continue to be so

The present parking - the first hour free - serves the retail community adequately. Coach parking is available from the 'Back Road'. Bringing coaches and increased traffic to a purely commercial venture is a betrayal of Malahide residents by Fingal Co Council. They were entrusted with the parkland for the enjoyment of the populace. The proposed destruction of woodland and open amentiy area to satisfy another council 'revenue stream' is reprehensible. Councillors must be reminded that they are expected to be the voice of the people - not that of Mammon.

Malahide castle was donated to the people through Fingal county council we don't need more car space in the castle grounds -this is a commercial exercise. Also the freedom to walk or run with my children and dogs in a woodland area is heavenly please don't take it away. Let Malahide and Fingal Co. Council be progressive in their thinking and protect the wonderful natural resource that is Malahide castle demense woodlands.

Uncoordinated development plan with again no benefit as purported to RETAIL business in the village. We're not all pubs and cafes. My regular customers need adequate parking facilities on a daily basis to be able to fil their BASIC needs. Disguising the provision of the parking through the adventure centre is lazy and untrustworthy

The amenities as they are at the moment provide enjoyment for all sectors of the community and visitors, not limited to the active and fearless only.
We would be loosing too much for the general population for to gain a small attraction for a select few.

Why spoil a beautiful wooded area of simplicity and enchantment for the sake of commercial greed? Thousands of children and families have explored and played here for years and rightly regard the woods as one of the best places to visit at Malahide Castle. We are merely the guardians and custodians of special places like the woods and want to protect them for future generations.

There was a time when you could peacefully enjoy walking your dogs around Malahide Castle. Now you risk being flattened by a lunatic cyclist or a ridiculous red train. Welcome to Disneyland, Malahide. The Forest Adventure Area will just exacerbate the problem.
