Save Luther Forest

We DON’t need more development in Luther forest. I for one enjoy seeing wild life in this area. Being able to see the wildlife is one unique feature that Luther forest has. If we keep building in our forested areas, we won’t have wildlife left.

I am baffled by some of the actions of the Town Board & Planning Board members. This is clearly not in the interest of our neighborhood, and there are plenty of available lots on Route 9.

Stop the building in Saratoga County its now starting to look like Albany County which is getting run down and over populated.. We need open spaces not just for humans to enjoy but also for the wild life.

Please leave what’s left of the forest alone!!!

There are two vacant lots at the Dunning and Route 9 intersection, are these not large enough for this kind of facility?

Complete, utter disrespect for the residents of this community, and a compelling reason to vote out the Town Council members who disregard the very people they are elected to serve - Tim Dunn and Craig Warner to start. This is clearly one of the most bone-headed land-use planning decisions to drop onto the residents of Malta, and, in particular, the residentsof Luther Forest who came here precisely for the peace and tranquility of "to live in a forest" as the sign so ironically now proclaims next to this doomed parcel of woods. Given that these residents clearly and unequivocally expressed their opposition to the siting of fire/police/ems facilities at this very location ten years ago, should have been the end of it - the people have spoken. But, clearly, the "people" don't matter to this development-crazed bunch, and they should be turned out of office - after, of course, the residents turn this monstrously-bad decision on its head and bury it.

Please find a more appropriate location

We live in an extremely low crime community. This is a solution looking for a problem. Putting this in a place that will devalue homeowners' properties is a slap in their faces and poor long-term planning. Other adjacent neighborhoods will lose faith and their homes will lose value.

This move will significantly detract from the entry to the Luther forest neighborhoods and the clearance of this forest is entirely unnecessary with a larger and already cleared parcel almost immediately across the street

The long vacant property on Rt.9, former gas station good place. Other vacant land on Rt. 9 Malta also good locations

State police are fine where they are. No need to keep disrupting residential neighborhoods for commercial and over development. Let's try to preserve what's left of a once beautiful community and town.

They found a better place for the fire house. They can do the same for the police barracks.

This is not an appropriate location for the State Police Station for the reasons stated above. I believe a route 9 location would be far more sensible.

Like the letter urges, find a location that has already been cleared for the state police station.

Please find a more commercial place. This area it too residential with kids, dogs, joggers and elderly out walking. The season is short enough. Let us keep the peace! Thank you
