Wow. This is a great idea! I'm sure it will finally solve all of the Eastside's traffic and parking problems. What a slap in the face to all those that have worked so hard over the last few decades to preserve the land and make it into the beautiful and tranquil escape that it has become today. I guess the City Council won't be happy until every tree is down and every open space paved. I expect the next proposal will be for an open pit mine in Pioneer Park.

This proposal is totally ridiculous - this is a park, our park. If Bellevue has a parking problem let them look a little closer to home. Now that this subject has been raised, perhaps the hill will be transformed into the garden it was always planned to be,

This is a ridiculous idea, encouraging more off-island commuters to fill parking spaces when there aren't enough for us Mercer Island residents. Plus to use a park property for this is inexcusable.

The plan to create more parking in downtown Mercer Island deserves careful consideration and we should not rush into a decision with ramifications for years to come. Additional parking in the downtown core would benefit local businesses and protect incredible Luther Burbank park which is a haven for Islanders and the greater Seattle and Eastside communities.

It doesn't make sense to spend money on having commuters DRIVE as close as they can get to the city. We need better options for people to use mass transit from where they live.

This Council plan is completely inappropriate. Instead, current P&R spots should be reallocated for MI USE ONLY. With infinite eastside demand, it will be IMPOSSIBLE to ever provide enough P&R spaces for outsiders on MI.

This is a very bad idea. We need more green spaces and parks, NOT more parking lots!

This parking garage threatens to destroy the neighborhood and LB Park. When the expanded community center was built, we were promised that wouldn't be a foot in the door for this type of expanded development. The City Council majority has joined the PSRC plan to densify neighborhoods around proposed transit station -- Islanders should resist this densification.

Park N Ride should not be restricted to Island residents and that other alternatives should be explored.
