At some point our City Council and Planning Commission must recognize that an important part of their job is preserving the beauty and character of our Island. We are NOT a pit stop for Eastsiders needing to commute to Seattle and desecration of green spaces once committed cannot be undone. This must not happen!

The last thing we need is more concrete on what little natural areas we have left. This park is priceless - definitely worth more than $6M. I don't even live on Mercer Island but we use this park a lot in the summer with kids and dogs.

I live directly in the affected neighborhood. The traffic going to/from the community center is already excessive plus the traffic of people avoiding 90 during commute hours. Police are constantly having to pull people over for speeding so I can't imagine this solution increases the safety of the neighborhood. We also already have high car prowling issues in this part of the island. Adding long-term parking invites a higher level of crime.

Fighting for open space on MI seems to be an unending battle. Park (n.) and Parking (v.) are similar words with very different meanings.

Building a parking garage at Luther Burbank near the Community Center should not happen. Keep our parks as park and not parking lots. Additionally we do not need non MI commuters adding more traffic and taking up parking space. Seems to me we are just increasing the current problem we have with the current park and ride. We should force east link to request park and ride people at the south Bellevue to use another park and ride location. There will be too much traffic going to the CC and more congestion on our streets

Seems like just yesterday that MI residents fought to keep development out of both Upper and Lower Luther Burbank Park. Here we go again.

I believe that it is unfair to penalize MI residents for the convenience of other communities

Don't destroy LBP. Restrict Park and Ride to MI residents only.
Please stop this project or move to somewhere else
parking structures are an eyesore that the north end doesn't need, especially next to that beautiful park and surrounding residential neighborhood I
Please preserve the peaceful and beautiful park. Do not put commuter parking and traffic in Luther Burbank Park!
Save the park
Save Luther Burbank Park and keep it a peaceful place to contemplate nature
that the Park N Ride should not be restricted to Island residents and that other alternatives should be explored.
