Great place, have bought lots of things from here, for myself and for my business. It's great to buy second hand furniture, it's so much better quality, it supports a local family business, they are always very friendly and it cuts down on people buying new furniture. I would be really sad to not be able to come and buy from here, there are too many things that can just be bought online and delivered.

Local independent businesses should support one another. Working together so we don’t loose such gems

I lived in Millfield for almost 25 years. This building was always delapadated and an eyesore until it was taken over by Jane. What a shame it would be to see it go back to a storage unit. It makes the street look so much better.

I can't see how Brampton Parish Council can justify their objections to this. On the question of parking, vehicles at and from Winged Heart are often obstructing the pavement. Cars are also regularly parked just around the bend outside the Parish Council/ Housing Association office, causing danger both for traffic and pedestrians. In view of all this a bit of understanding would be good. In addition Brampton needs retail. How does this stance stack up against the fears about on-line shopping killing off our towns,? Please, give this business a chance to thrive which would benefit all. They aren't in competition with anyone.

This is a fantastic place to visit, and a real asset to Brampton. Warm and friendly people who bring a lot of business to the town. I would be gutted if this shop was no longer there xx

Excellent family run business which brings in people from far and wide. People then go into Brampton to shop, thus benefitting the town . It would be another body blow to Brampton if Lowther Furniture centre were to shut.

I cannot believe in this difficult time for small businesses that Winged Hearts are objecting to Lowther Used Furniture trading from these premises. It’s a lovely family owned business and we’ve bought a few things from there then continued into Brampton to shop. We have never found an issue with parking, cannot understand what the problem is.

Lowther Furniture is ideally situated at Unit 11. It is a well used and well supported business whose customers bring custom to the town. The nature of their business is such that they require a warehouse to trade from, to remove the ability to trade from their current premises (a place they have developed their business in) would severely damage the continued success of their business as well as other businesses in the area. It is a fantastic addition to the village of Brampton, people currently travel from far and wide to visit the warehouse to purchase furniture such is its reputation. It is an excellent space for displaying the furniture they sell and an excellent use of the warehouse. We have never seen any issues with access or parking and can see no reason why they should not continue trading at their current location.

Surely retailers should be supporting eachother as things are hard enough as it is - not campaigning to get a completely non-conflicting neighbouring business closed down?! I’ve never had a problem with parking and I would have thought that visitors to one are likely to call into the other out of interest so, in fact, they should be mutually beneficial.
