If you don't like loud noise and commerce, why would you choose too live downtown?

OK. Seriously. If you have a problem with loud noise, don't live downtown. Simple as that. If you're going to get all uppity about loud music, and festivals, and you're mad because the music is too loud for you, what happened to your soul? Just because you stopped partying, doesn't mean the rest of us have to. But of course, this is probably the same group of people who don't like London looking like an actual city, and would rather it look like a bunch of boxes on roads that are like a grid and have no characters of them

London has already lost enough venues for live music. Take away the summer festivals or put hilariously ridiculous restrictions on them, and watch the downtown core suffer. This sounds like a "wagging your finger yelling get off my lawn" type situation. Downtown is the heart and soul of a city. Probably shouldn't live in the heart of a city if you can't handle it.

These events are what define our city. People travel from areas surrounding London to be a part of them and attend. It would be an horrible move towards our tourism and economy to end them.

i so look forward to all the festival's downtown and go to each of them. .. it's one of the best things about London... don't take them away

The need of the many out weigh the complaints of the few. If you need to live a quiet life. Don't live by the airport, train tracks, or downtown.
A few years ago, the 12 bus was rerouted to avoid certain street because of a noise complaint of one neighbour. Which turned my 2 min daily walk to the bus stop into a 17 min walk to the bus stop. Don't let the vocal minorities win.

Whiners. Who cares. It's a couple nights a week. Maybe if they allowed music in to there souls they wouldn't be such hateful misers that feel the need to ruin everything for the sake of feeling like they have a voice.

This is the stupidest thing I have heard since building a tunnel. Are we trying to kill the tourism industry. Next thing you know the signs as you enter london will say "welcome to London. Population 381 000. Closed for business." Figure it out.
