Certain characteristics come with downtown living and a louder nightlife comes with that. If people want a quieter area to live in - move out of downtown. I honestly can't believe these things are actually being discussed. Music and Culture is the lifeblood of any City's beating heart. If you take that away, you're taking any sort of young development and fun out of a city.

As a musician myself indoor & outdoor festivals are my life. They bring people together, they give life meaning. There's far too many noice restrictions these days banning the joys of life. Wheres the freedom? If certain people don't like the noice then move to the god damn country side.

It's absolutely ridiculous of London city council to essentially make it so not a single festival will ever want to come back with these new bylaws. These festivals are essential for keeping downtown London a thriving area of London. Does anyone else remember the days when the downtown core was almost a wasteland because of poor decisions made by city council because I do.

That's wrong on the part of the very very few people who can't enjoy themselves in the summer.. With a little music, fun in the sun, meeting people from across the planet.... I have meet so so many wonderful people at the festivals.. The music isn't too loud... NOT AT ALL.. IT'S PEOPLES IN LONDON THAT HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO, THAN MAKE TROUBLE FOR THE REST OF THE FUN LOVING PEOPLE!!!!

I live downtown at 310 Dundas and love the festivals. They are a great way to bring the community together and create a culture in the city that is very positive. Not only to I think we should allow them to continue, but we should encourage and support them to be bigger and more inclusive. They are my favorite part of the summer!

I'd like to talk about a festival in Calgary, AB called Sled Island (google it :)). During the festival week(s), they generate millions of dollars in revenue for the city of Calgary (in just a weeks time!!!). They are one of the single largest contributors of 'revenue-generated tourism' to their city, and province. If we are smart about this, we can build a future for downtown London.

This helps London become a more meaketable place to vacation, and brings revenue into the city.

Absolutely ridiculous... If people actually had common sense they would know if they move downtown this was going to happen... A lot of these events raise money for charity so please keep the festivals going

There is so little to do in this city to start with and so few things downtown to draw people there, why would we even consider making festivals more difficult or expensive to put on?? London, Ontario: where fun goes to die.

Leave the music industry alone. London needs to support our arts if they want to revitalize the downtown core. Stop bending to the few who love to complain. Recommend they relocate if they don't like living downtown.

We all pay taxes to the City of London to have a vibrant city that is recognized around the world and not be overshadow by London England all the time. Festivals do help to do that and it is very upsetting for volunteers like me that our hard work to bring to the City of London some happiness and culture from all over that a few people have more voice and are more valuable to the City elected representatives. It is time to hear to the people that do positively work for the city's better future!

Sunfest is the highlight of my year and can't exist without this.
My favourite bar back home lost the only outdoor patio music rights in town and has suffered immensely for it.
