London's festivals are all this city has. No one comes here for downtowns "beautiful architecture" or "immaculate city-scape" they come here for Sunfest, Ribfest, and all the their festivals that go on throughout the city, get rid of those and you can say goodbye to tourism in London.

Our summer festivals are what make this city great. If there is a problem with the noise during those times then buy some earplugs, or join the fun.

Why when we are working so hard to make this city a music destination are we making it so difficult? With incredible venues like the London Music Hall and Budweiser Gardens bringing tourists into the downtown core and boosting the economy for businesses in the area, why are you trying to hurt festivals that bring hundreds of thousands of people into the downtown? These events are what define London as a city and are what bring visitors back each and every year.

I would bet money that the people complaining are of the older generation and that their complaints have a much more subjective bias than "noise"; this is just the excuse that they can hang their bias on. Old people: get out of the way.

As a down town resident I believe the festival's are what keep us alive. It gives a chance for everyone to come together and get outside and feel the culture and music. If anything I want more festivals. Bump up the music... Don't like it move to the suburbs. ✌

Festivsls salvo provide an opportunity for new artists to play in front of a large audience that they may not get the opportunity to otherwise. It's great exposure for the up and coming talent

As a Fanshawe music industry arts alumni, I think it is imperative to keep laws fair, this will do more harm than good. I now work in event marketing on national Campaigns and can say with certainty that if these events were to leave london, there would be little to no reason to for Campaigns and vendors to frequent London without these festivals.

Lawn mower is a perfect example. Are we not allowed to cut the grass in a park? Ridiculous. If lawn mowers are allowed, music should be allowed. This is a silly argument. Signed.

The city wants London to draw in business, tourism, etc. By cutting festivals because some people don't like the noise (a handful of times out of the whole year), will not only affect local businesses, it will affect charities/fundraisers, and money being re-invested into our city. If you choose to live downtown, you should do so knowing that it is busy, it is a high traffic area, and that most events take place there - that is where the bar scene lives, students hang out, etc. Let's use festivals to bring people together, unite for the love of music or for a good cause, and those who don't want to participate don't have to... but don't rain on someone else's parade.
