I'm also a resident in the downtown core, can hear the stage from my house but do not have a problem with the noise. These festivals are a great way to bring together communities and get residents out of homes in a social setting.

Please take the db readings from outside the park not next to the stage. London currently does not have the same vibrant Arts and Music scene found in other Canadian cites ( I'm a working musician that has performed in both London other Canadian cites). If we lose the London music festivals we lose what little we have left of an already dwindling scene.

One of the best things about London is the summer downtown festivals... it is the highlight of the year for many, and inclusive to all. Music is one of the great joys in life, and we need more of it, especially these days.

I live right downtown. Part of the reason I love living downtown is because of the festivals. Let's not ruin one of the best parts of London, by making it hard for festivals to abide by all the ridiculous laws.

I work as a freelance stage hand. A lot of my income in the summer comes from working the down town festivals. This is true for dozens of people and companies I work with. Along with hurting performers, vendors, and general tourism income, policies like some residents are suggesting will hurt a lot of lower income people who work behind the scenes.
If you want evenings and weekends to be that quiet move to the suburbs. That's what they are there for.

London's downtown is in enough trouble with all the crime and drugs there, taking away festivals & music will leave no reason for good people to go down there. It'll make it a dead core to the city. One of the remaining draws of London is its music scene, don't mess this up people
