I personally know those who oppose any growth or extension in the culture and nightlife of Downtown London. They have a lot of free time to fight these causes die to their retired status. They have a large voice due to their massive amounts of free time. But they do not represent in even a minuscule way the majority of Londoners who work, live, and patronize Londons amazing festivals, bars, restaurants, and special events. We work to make money to spend in our city. Please allow London to grow and enjoy the entertainment it deserves.

This is insane. Just because a couple of old fogies complain, does not mean they are in the majority. Move out of the downtown core if you don't like having FUN. Plain and simple.

Once you start assigning fines at these events, it won't take long that artists begin to decline London's offers to perform. Keep the music alive - it brings much needed revenue to the city. It also encourages diversity within the communities. Peace!

London should be looking to increase the number of festivals during the summer, not decrease them. It is one of the few things that keeps people in the city during the summer, or bring in tourists from elsewhere.

Let's get real here - increased fines/higher intolerance to unrealistic bylaws = no CMA Awards... No revenue from Rock the Park... No revenue from any events in Victoria Park... Decreased travel to the city... Decreased population growth... Small businesses who thrive off that business closing down... More small businesses being forced out of the city from the decreased traffic... It s bad news... Wake up London.

This is ridiculous. If you don't like the noise, or are upset with the festivals - that are essential to a city (especially one like London) - then do NOT live in the downtown. Pretty Simple.

I currently live in an apartment building and I don't mind the occasional concerts downtown. I also attend concerts every year and I think its a great way to get the community together.

If you chose to live downtown like I have its party for things like this. Its a great part of our economy when people put it back into the vendors or put it into richmond row. It would be silly to get rid of anything that brings so many people so much joy.

I think the overall bylaws for notice complaints in this city are rediculous. The are the most strict out of any other major city. But it's fine if London Council wants London to continue being known as the most boring city in Canada.

I support live entertainment. Rock the Park has successfully supported charities and boosted the local economy as well as kept numerous local people employed during the festival for many years. The talent is first rate!

Keep the festivals. I used to live in London and outside of the GTA London has the best mixture of bands that come through and perform. This brings myself and many of my friends to the city for weekends at a time. All the while shopping and eating at local businesses. Elimination of these festivals and shows would result in a serious decline in tourism.
