Save London Ontario Festivals

We cannot do without festivals as they are valuable to everyone.

These festivals are the heart of London's summer. They shouldn't be taken away because a few people are complaining about it. And they help support local vendors and create art and music in our city!

There has been festivals in London as long as I can remember. I attend them all. These festivals define us as a city. Don't let a few ruin it for the rest.

Let me get this straight. 7 individuals are complaining about 6 hours of music a night over 4 evenings in the core? Yet the core of the city never sleeps with bars emptying into the streets after last call, commercial garbage trucks emptying dumpsters and sirens from EMS and fire blasting through the core at all hours? Folks, living in the core is noisy at any hour. If you have an issue with entertainment venues during the few months of good weather, then plan your vacation around these events or better yet, seriously consider moving out of the core. Why should the concerns of a very small minority override the enjoyment of the masses?

Events such as these are good for local businesses and in turn the city itself. It brings in revenue from tourists and supports the local economy. Penalizing the promoters will move these festivals out of the city of London and will take that revenue away from local shops, hotels, restaurants, etc.

Only in London. This city is way too conservative for my taste. I'm going to Kitchener and Windsor bluesfests this city is too lame.

These 7 people should move to the retirement community of Grand Bend and they would be in good company-the once partiers are now old and cranky-always complaining

So 7 people are annoyed by the festivals, so they ruin our local economy? Someone hmu if there's a march that's happening

We come from out of town Stayed in hotels ate in nearby restaurants & pubs , spent "tourist dollars " Enjoyed a great venue with great entertainment! Lets be realistic!

I fully agree with your suggestion to take the sound readings at the edge of the park or from the complainants property line. It would be a crying shame if our outdoor festivals were cancelled due to 7 people. Many thousands of people enjoy them to say nothing about the great work done for charities.

I and all of us need to support are local music in the parks. Crank it up!

All of London benefits from all the money being spent during these wonderful events. If you are unable to take one night of noise, move to the suburbs.

Festivals and live music draw people to the city and help our economy and make life more enjoyable. Sirens, trains, lawn mowers, screaming kids playing all are louder than 90 db.

I live in the core, just behind Jack's, and have never been disturbed by the music from Victoria Park.

Allow London festivals and patios to exceed the 90db levels...

Time for the city to grow up!!

For thousands of years festivals have played an integral part of bringing community together with celebrations of diversity in culture and religious beliefs, and is supported by government and its people. Who are these few that can make such an impact? Well, the rest of the 383,815 Londoners will embrace unity through our festivals. Peace and Love!

Move to the suburbs where you can get your peace and quiet.

Save Live music festivals. London loves them

This is brutal. London has great musical talent and with out...London would be pretty freakin' boring!
