Save London Ontario Festivals

I live in Wortley Village and can hear Rock the Park from my house - if the wind is in this direction. It doesn't bother me for the short time it happens because music is the last 'cementing ' resource that cannot be owned - just rented as it goes in your ears. Music triggers memories of life's events and tends to make one happy or sad while remembering those times. It is an elixir that delivers to us emotions - unlike the grim reality of the World around us - KEEP PLAYING THE PEPPY TUNES!!!

Suggest they take a vacation when Festivals are playing

We have so few festivals a year as it is. I'm sure that the inconvenience of noise is well worth the benefits they bring to the city and majority of its residents.

Unfortunately the squeaky Wheels often get heard because they are always the loudest! This petition is the right way to go but there needs to be louder voices at City Hall to defend these music festivals, these places where people congregate for the purposes of community, joy and celebration...

Went to the blues fest last summer here in London and we had a blast!! And it was always packed with ppl of all ages enjoying the shows!

Run the politicans out of town!

Whoever makes an issue about the db level during the festivals some kindly suggestions : a) Come down and join the party, drink a few beers, smile, enjoy your life and have a good time b) Use earplugs, headphones or play loud your own favourite music c) Take some days out of town, connect with nature d) sell your expensive downtown place and move somewhere else where you can listen only the birds and the threes e) don't be a hater :)

I wish you good luck on this ridiculous battle against a small group of people who believe they are the most important and who kill positive gathering of good people not necessarily brainwashed by the Christian regime of small minds and violence to who ever opposes their small minded opinions based on fear and lack of faith.

This is part of downtown and area culture. If you don't like the sound why do you live in the area?

We need music man !!

I am 63 and love the festivals. The opportunity to see so many musicians, and such wonderful music, is why I wait for the summer. Of course the noise level needs to be somewhat "loud", but anyone moving downtown should know this. I couldn't believe the stupidity of people who bought a condo across from Victoria Park and then complained!!!

Let's wake up the downtown core!

Festivals bring money, stability, employment, and most importantly culture and social activities. Music, theatre and others arts are critical to society as the "third pillar".

ban curmudgeonry ! theres little enough work for musicians these days.

Please let London continue to be a Festival City.

Please some sense to this matter. This was one of the primary reasons we stopped operating the infamous London Balloon Festival. Fact... playing O'Canada from the main stage, with the Canadian Flag and Maple Leaf balloons, exceeded the decibel limits.
