The Local Historical Studies Service of the County Library in Bray is facing closure. Local Historians need your help to reverse this decision. Closure will mean that local researchers can no longer study the history of any part of Wicklow without having to leave the county. As it is, Wicklow is one of the very few counties in Ireland that does not have a county museum, now our cultural heritage is being push further to one side by closing down the local history research rooms in the county library. Please act quickly to preserve this valuable service.

Used the Bray archives loads of times. Its a vital resource for anyone doing local research. You cant just expect people to travel to dublin for this stuff.
This is absolute madness. Wicklow history belongs in Wicklow. Stop cutting the funding for things that actually matter to the community.
Bad enough we dont have a museum. Leave our library service alone!
my grandfather used these archives for years when researching his family tree. dont take this away from us.
so sad to see more heritage thrown in the bin. Keep it open
