Please reconsider closing this perfectly safe level crossing, the small savings are no comparisson to the hugely negative effects for llandrindod.

I use this all the time it will be crazy to close this,it would cause so much disruption and inconvenience to so many people it would also have impact on the post office and convenience store. that people who live at that end of town.use.

This will split the town in two - what a ridiculous idea, the crossing has been there as long as the railway, so is surely a right of way. Nothing justifies it's closure!

This is a vital link for access to Trefonnen, Hodges including the Post Office for a large number of people who live West of the track. It's safe and I know it may need work but compared with the potential closure of the chip shop and Hodges it's a small price to pay to get it upgraded. Surely this is a right of way that can't be just blocked off?

Splitting the north end community is not the way forward, the businesses in this area will be effected badly, hodges, the chippy, businesses that the town should support rather than redirecting traffic towards tescos or aldi.

This would be a disaster for the town, those who live locally and use it daily, also the surrounding businesses. The risk of an incident/accident with a train is so low it is almost none existent, at this type of crossing as the trains have to stop either side to activate the lights and gates. So Railtrack please don't use safety as an excuse to try and close this vital link in our community.

HOW WILL IT BENEFIT CLOSING THIS CROSSING - I LIVES BY THERE FOR OVER 23 YEARS AND DO NOT RECALL ANY ACCIDENTS - IT WILL HAVE A MASSIVE EFFECT ON THE LOCAL BUSINESSES AND WHAT IS TO BECOME OF THE CHILDREN WALKING TO SCHOOL

Two points of crossing over the railway which bisects a town this size, are just not enough.

Just a few slow trains a day use the line - sacrifice the pedestrian and motorist for that? Ludicrous. Whilst they are at it - get arriva trains to reinstate the waiting room - they spent 5k on a shed with benches instead. Oh and open the ticket office more than 3 minutes before the 8.45 train arrives. Arriva do not care about their customers or local people - we are treated as an inconvenience.

4 kids go to school which will make us walk alot longer plus same amount of time if they were in cefnllys. Where is the point of this.

This would impact on the chip shop severely, impacting on yet another independent shop in the town. Also would be harder for parents to take their kids to school in treffonen.

That crossing is safe as the train driver lowers the gates himself ... just another nail in Llandrindod Wells coffin ....

This would leave a significant number of people with a much longer journey to local amenities.
