This must not happen. What about the people who live on the other side but use Hodges etc ? Very short sighted!

What a dangerous idea! There are very likely many who will try to nip across the weakest point to pop to Hodges. This crossing is in constant use by both pedestrians and motor vehicles.

Absolutely ridiculous idea! I trust Powys C. C. will support the town and fight this proposal.

This is going to be very inconvenient we live in Tremont Road and use this crossing daily and so do many other residence west of the crossing who are elderly and use the stores and post office on Tremont Road, we know they could go around and come up Tremont Road but there is a length of the road where vehicles park and it gets very busy with traffic travelling through the town and can be quite dangerous - so the crossing should stay.

This is an awful idea, my work place at the hairdressers Kelz Cuts will suffer as blocking off main access and parking points, also living down ddole road will be an complete nuisance, this will effect so many long time family businesses near by. This needs to be stopped.

Llandrindod Wells is already awkward to navigate around due to the positioning of the track through the town coupled with a one way road system. As a regular shopper at the two main supermarkets in the town, Aldo and Tesco, as I know many are, the removal of this crossing will be both inconvenient and increase traffic congestion. Unless you propose to build a bridge or fund improvements to the road infrastructure, I would urge you not to impose this change on us.

Why do they want to remove it

This is ridiculous - it would destroy local businesses and cut the community into two. My family has lived in the north end for over 80 years, myself for over 40 and we have never known an accident. If it closed, people stopping at the crossing shops (should they stay open) will have to drive right through the town to get to the west side of the track. Increased traffic at the junctions in town will cause more accidents. As for safety, there are gates and the few trains that pass through during the day stop anyway.

As a nearby resident to the crossing I would like to express my concern regarding the access to and from my property if the level crossing is closed. As an example currently we have easy access to the local store and post box via the crossing. Closing the crossing would be an inconvenience for us but a potential disaster for this small business if customers cannot access the store.

i think clossing the crossing would be a huge mistake.there are alot of elderly people on the west side of the crossin that use the crossing shops. and most would find a footbridge difficult and also dangerous it would split the community in half

I can't see a way or me to visit my brother if this crossing is closed - unless you spend several million on another access road.

This is a vital link for the town and must not be closed.
