People outside of Houston, like me in LA need to be in touch with what is happening in Houston. Lisa Gray is an exceptional writer who is well read and well liked. Why would the Crronicle cancel this IMPORTANT column of a savvy and on point writer who actually cares about Houston? Enough of this madness. Bring the column back!

I find it hard to believe that Lisa Gray's column was't popular...I always looked forward to it.

Lisa's column is a Chronicle highlight. Reading the Chronicle won't be the same without it.

The loss of Lisa Gray's column is shortsighted at best. In reassigning Lisa, the Chronicle is deliberately throwing away something that set it apart from other printed news sources.

Having been on the receiving end of one of Lisa's interviews I have to say I personally love her writing and will miss her column.

Lisa is a master at finding gems in the rough and telling stories that need to be told. I highly value her writing about the Houston area.

Lisa Gray is such loss. This is super lame, especially since the Chron *just* hired at least one new blogger whose "beat" is exclusive, upper-crust, private parties featuring hipsters in offensive costumes as if a tiny scene of maybe 200 people is worthy of attention from the flagship (only) daily paper in a city of 4 million-plus people. So lame.

Lisa has been a favorite for years. I'd hate to see the column gone to the big newspaper in the sky...

I've always enjoyed Lisa's columns and look for them in the paper. The paper is in weak shape as it is--keep your strengths!

Are you all kidding? Lisa Gray's columns are the best thing in the paper!

Can't the Chronicle get a junior intern to cover suburban schools? There's nothing more to add than what comes out in the school newsletter. Don't care to read about chicken fried steak and mashed potato Fridays or the Sadie Hawkins dance. The only reason I continue to subprime to the Chronicle was to read Lisa Gray's column. Without it, the Chronicle is just third class to CultureMap and Houstonia.
