This is a clear example of the direction highschools should not be heading.

Band camp is a necessary part of the marching band experience, and music itself is a necessary part of life.

Music is such important part to education. It combines both sides of the brains at all times.

This is where these band students form a family/team and why in the past we were so successful. A great experience in so many ways.

Coming from a marching band student, I couldn't imagine what our band would do without band camp. Having those couple of days together introduced the freshman into band as something very enjoyable and the whole trip unifies the band.

Marching Band teaches more than just music. It teaches leadership, team work, how to communicate, how to perform, how to interact with people, and so on. Band Camp is a critical part of the learning process and without it, the knowledge gained from being in marching band would suffer.

I was a great time to bond with fellow band mates and a lot of great relationships with friends formed during this week. Some of these friendships I still have today.

band camp made matching knights what it is. if funding I'd needed then maybe the school board should look into administrator salaries and teacher salaries. they are some of the highest around!

om today. If going away to band camp were not possible, I would not have felt as much of a close bond to those who were in the Marching Knights alongside me. Band camp turns us into a stronger, harder working family.

This is a great program that has been very successful. Lincoln-Way needs to revisit this issue and overturn their decision.
Please do not stop band camp!
