Band is one of the most beneficial programs and activities that any high school srudent can be involved with. These students deserve the opportunity to grow as musicians, and as people in the process!

All 4 of my kids have been to band camp, and I know from what they have told me that this is an important part of the season for the band and for each kid individually.

The Knights have defined LincolnWay for decades. Don't turn your back on the kids who peruse this discipline because you may believe you can't afford it. You must always support art. How else does a society promote culture????

I am shocked that any school board would take away Marching Band Camp from any high school. Band is very important to a high school. The band members work as hard as any football team if not harder. They have usually two weeks to learn to march as a group to learn their routine as well as memorizing their music. They spend at least 8 hours each day to master this with very little school recognition. Band members learn so much during this brief period of time. They learn discipline, social skills and way more than I can express here. You would be taking away time that woud help them excell in other aspects of their education. I hope you will reconsider and give them this time.

Too many culturally important things are Bering sacrificed, how about a couple of unneeded salaries or duplicate positions. This is an important part of our community, and our high school!

Band camp is one of my favorite times of year. Without it I would not be as successful in school as I am now. Band camp let me meet new people, who in turn taught me so many life lessons. I don't know how well I would've done my freshman year when I started into school. I wouldn't have any of the support I have now.
