This should have never been decided by the City without a vote from area residents.

Please do not privatize Lido beach. Local residents, families with children and your youth that have been raise in Sarasota county, need a reason to stay and our beaches are certainly the reason my daughter has stayed in SRQ. Tourist are a huge revenue and public access should never be lessened. Respectfully, Cindy Taliaferro

Parking at Lido Beach during season is difficult now as it is. Beach access and parking are important for all of us-- especially for those who cannot afford the new amenities proposed for the site.

Lido Beach belongs to the public, taxpayers and visitors alike. Please leave it alone. For those who wish to drink at Daiquiri Deck, all they need to do is to go to St. Armand's Circle.

The Lido Pavillion is part of what makes Lido Beach unique and a neighborhood beach environment. Lido is a place where you know your neighbors, you know the lifeguards and you know the friends at the pavilion and beach rentals. It’s community. Keep Lido a community without late night partying for the environment and for the community around Lido Beach. Keep Lido family friendly

Don't infringe on public access to the beach, which would further erode the equal and accessible enjoyment of amenities for all classes. These private business are capable of lining their pockets and upgrading guest experiences without compromising public access to the beach, and should exhaust all other avenues in the pursuit of the all-mighty Dollar. Not by taking away from a public beach popular with both local and tourist alike.

Don't we have enough alcohol establishments? Please leave the public beach (LIDO) for the families that live and vacation here. There is a splash pad and playground at Bayfront Park. K.I.S.S.!
