Lido Beach is, I believe, Sarasota's only public beach. Corpus Christi has more than 80 miles of public beaches. It isn't fair to diminish the little the public has in Sarasota.

We, Lido Beach resident are fighting to keep this Pavilion public and not a a commercial venue. Making it commercial will increase traffic, loitering and possibly drunken people walking our streets.
Sarasota should be able to fund it same way as the they are funding the Beach front project by Van Wezel.
Thanks for considering another option.

The lido pavillion shall not be touched!! It is a historic monument to sarasota, do not destroy our only local beach we have left! The concrete jungle on siesta is stomach turning, the austrailian pines that once grew there were used to be the best part of siesta, now look at it, Sarasota county has failed its citizens, dont do it again!

Public areas must remain public for all to share! Allowing others to profit is wrong and sets a dangerous precedent.

The pavilion does not need over-development for private business gain at the expense of citizens and tourist guests!

Sarasota does not currently meet Federal guidelines for wheelchair beach access, this is on more way to show their discriminatory, arrogant, greedy use of our public resources

It appears the restaurant will limit use to tourists & residents who would find parking near impossible.

The proposed change would be just another example of greed and the love of money. All quaintness is being robbed from Sarasota. Please don't let this happen.

This is clearly wrong. It shouldn't even be necessary to say but I will....Do not approve this petition for private use. What a travesty that would be for obvious reasons, such as further dividing the classes of those who are privileged and those who are just working class citizens who pay taxes and have a right to free access of Lido Beach.
