This beach is for people not businesses. We just paid for beach replenisment. The company that wants to ruin it just got a huge subsidy from the federal, state and local government for the replenishment of the beach sand. That will happen again. Make them pay for this one and all the future replenishment work as part of the deal. It will be DOA when it hits their desks.

Given the strong rejection of this by several government agencies and the even stronger disagreement from local residents and constituents in general I hope our elected representatives actually protect and serve the voters. The damage to quality of life would be too great if this was allowed to proceed.

It would be a shame for this island to lose such a great landmark. There is already not enough parking in season to accomodate all the beach goers and the people that own here do not want it to change this way!

What a terrible idea, to take beautful LIdo Beach and turn it into a mega-commercial stop, thus ruining one of the nicest spots in the county Don't do it!

Please keep Lido Beach geared toward the people who love the chilled atmosphere of this beach and do not make it one more corporate enterprise.
