Please keep this beach for the locals and not as a restaurant at the beach. Parking is not sufficient to accommodate both.

Keep it the way it is.

Please don't ruin the quaintness and small town joy of Lido Beach area.

We love Lido Beach the way it is. Natural, quiet, quaint and accessible. It's probably the last of its breed why ruin it with a major big project that it's seekers can find anywhere else.

Please keep the family oriented environment.

Way too much development already, preserve the natural habitat for future generations.

Important to maintain an accessible affordable beach facility which is family friendly.

Haven't we lost enough

Because I injured my hip I can't make the meeting tomorrow.The seemingly encroaching overdevelopment of a small area which is now being face with the prospect of private enterprise co -opting a public premises speaks to a almost a kind of desperation that local administration seems to have for revenue at all other costs, and to sacrifice the singular charm that has been the very thing that draws people to Sarasota in being a unique place. I am not against 'progress' but to be subject the risky whims of developers and private businesses ,being taken in by the seduction of big profits can leave a city in Sarasota in a state of perpetual , overdeveloped limbo.There is a counter-productive result can occur ,should a charming town be too seduced by 'a small town on a big city 'trip' syndrome.I am not a radical preservationist, just a practical one where it is common sensically beneficial.

It's not broken....no need for a fix!

Kathy Atunes' opinion article in the Herald Tribune piles on to my criticism that I voiced to a commissioner months ago. The reasons to deny this plan could fill a book. When a significant portion of our voters sign a petition in protest, the commission is obligated to consider it very heavily. Failure would likely lead to replacement at the next election.
