The atmosphere of Lido beach is at risk from the proposed changes. I hope the community will rethink the decision to change a peaceful area of retreat and enjoyment of natural beauty into a crowded space designed to reap profit.

Please reconsider this bad privatization proposal. Lido has always been the people's beach for all City residents and their families. Should not be turned into an elitist beach club type destination which would become cost prohibitive for working class families to freely enjoy this public facility. Not to mention infringing upon the available public parking capacity out there. Thank you for your consideration.

We are going from the sublime to the ridiculous. As a long time former Lido resident, change is necessary. But this isn't a facelift - this is a face transplant. Let's grown into progress that ALL can enjoy - and never forget the most important word before beach - PUBLIC.

This is one of the last local "old Florida" places to go. An average working person can enjoy an affordable lunch at this pavilion and can enjoy the beach and pool as well. I am concerned about the litter on the beach that a night club would make as well, not to mention noise and protecting nesting birds and turtles.

We cannot commercialize our beaches. It is a beautiful place left for everyone to enjoy, not just for selected few with special interests.

This is a terrible idea, making a huge profit for wealthy owners, while destroying one of the few remaining charms of Sarasota. No,no.no!!!!
