Lido is NOT Siesta! We don't need another Daquuri Deck. Lido is frequented by an older clientele who rent small beachy places and use the pool as an amenity. Don't jeopardize this lodging by raising rates and discriminating against those who don't / won't / can't pay $100 for a cabana. Maybe the Ritz Club can open to Aloft guests and charge them a non- member fee of $100 for a cabana! The current pavilion, snack bar and facilities are a safe place for young children. There is ALREADY bar service. There is ALREADY a small play area and a large play area called THE BEACH. there is ALREADY a splash park called the GULF OF MEXICO. Keep it that way.

The proposed Pavilion will be busy during “season”, but the traffic on and off of Lido Key is already crippled during busy season. I have spent 1.25 hours just getting from Fruitville and Tamiami light to my home on Ben Franklin Rd. Getting off the island, traffic also crawls along in afternoon/evening. New Garage will help parking but traffic still has to get on and off the island. In addition, there currently is not enough beach to handle the increased volume. Residents on Lido are already spending their own money to fund lawyers to counter Siesta Key resident lawsuits, which continue to delay the beach renourishment. The local government needs to repair destruction on Lido beach before enticing visitors and nonresidents to come to a nearly nonexistent beach.

Plan seems too much. Pavilion should be low key with maximum access for all.

Please do not close off Lido pavilion to visitors. Our family has such fond memories of all inclusive laid back beach visits. I want to be able to share that with grandkids, too.

Can't believe what they are trying to do! Who will pay $100 a day? Where are all going to park? Awful mess!
