Hope this helps!! Horrible to see the City "Give Away" public beach access in favor of another high end restaurant.

Lido needs to be preserved as it is! No need for privatizing, commercialization and overbuilding. Preserve some of old Florida for those of us who appreciate it. Don't ruin any more of Sarasota and lose more charm.

I have been vacationing at Lido Beach Resort with family and friends for the past 8 years. The small charm of the area is what keeps us coming back and why I would love to Retire in Lido. Preserve the Beauty, no one wants or needs another Myrtle Beach!

To privatize this beautiful public beach would be a travesty. We drive 2 hrs to enjoy this beautiful beach❤

Sarasota was once a quaint town with some historic sites. Everything is gone. Downtown is now Miami like and it’s ruining every part of what I loved. All for developers to make money. Who gains here? The wildlife alone will be destroyed. Thank you

Minor city improvements would be adequate keeping older Florida feel. Should be more of a benefit for public than private business.

We love the pavilion and the Sunday laid back jazz. Who is getting paid off to do the opposite of what the voters want?

Please stop selling our beaches now. We are taxpayers and that is not what we want when we put the commissioners in office. You are supposed to represent us as the people. We do not want the Pavilion replaced and certainly never Daiquiri Deck. Go to Siesta if that is your desire. Not here.

I go to Lido beach every day. I am a city of Sarasota full time resident. I do not want the pavilion turned over to private interests. The city itself should finance, and administer any improvements. A private lease deal is no good for me, the city, or its residences. It may save the city money in the short term, but we loose control in the long term. Just look to Marina Jacks. One company totally dominates all choices for docking and dining on the water in the center of Sarasota. It may be good for the individual enterprise, but it stinks for the residents. The same would be with the privatization of the Lido beach pavilion. Good for the lease holder and business person, but it stinks for the residents. The city should spend the money, our money, and renovate what needs renovating, improve what needs improving, and DO THE RIGHT THING. STOP HANDING OFF THE RESPONSIBILITY TO SOMEONE ELSE. In the winter, parking is a huge issue on nice days. Not only is the parking lot always full but so are many of Lido's side streets. Think you should just update the pool and restrooms and not build a facility that will further cause already bad traffic conditions.
