This is a public beach NOT private. No to late night tiki bar!! this is a family beach and a residential area, there is no room for late night nonsense!

I am not a local but love coming here because of the way we are treated. Do not change this atmosphere by trying to be like siesta key. Kepp the local vibes going.

Gabe runs a wonderful concession stand. It won acclaim as the best concession on the South Gulf. He is a gem, people in our condo would't miss his Sunday lobster rolls and his wonderful steak sandwiches with really tasty sauces. And people love the fries and generous chicken salad sandwiches Have you ever eaten at a Daiquiri Deck? I ate at the one on the circle and the coconut shrimp were still frozen on the inside and the drinks are made with sweet nectar from a machine. We need new bathrooms and changing rooms. It would be nice if we could pay some homage to the old casino, like making molds of the Sea Horses and incorporate some history into the design. We do not need a splash pool, we have a beach. We do not need playground equipment to deteriorate in the weather. We certainly do not need more traffic, you can never find a parking place in season on weekends when I'm coming for my lobster roll or steak sandwich. The lines are long, but the service and food are good if you can find a place to park within a block or two, on a couple of unhappy occasions I have left without my lobster because of no place to park. And have you ever tried to get off Lido in season at the end of beach day? We don't need people who have been drinking driving on Lido Key at night. I have been to meetings and looked at plans, but this private cabana deal is new to me and doesn't seem family friendly. Is there a plan to bus people to the beach from a hotel and use the beach as an extension of a private operation? I hope that is just a rumor. Don't let our public beach slip out of the citizens' hands.

The current proposal is a dagger in the heart of a community. Have the supporters no shame in foisting a selfish developers' plan on a neighborhood that deserves better??

Too many areas of the beach are no longer open for the public. Don't let this be another one that can only be used by peoole with money. Si mych of Sarasota's beauty is being ruined by greedy investors, such as the ugly cindos aling Fruitville Road. Not everything should be about money!

Improvements are one thing. Making it an exclusive club, on my tax dollars, is wrong. People in Sarasota who are not mega rich are entitled to some amenities for their tax dollars.
