Save Lido Pavilion

Don't screw over the wonderful people of Sarasota.

The pavillion is a landmark and serves a purpose for both residents and daytrippers. Let it be.

Don’t do it.

Beaches are for everyone, not oligarchs that come down here and try to ruin what they came here for.

I support the petition. I believe the proposed site plan is untenable.

I have enjoyed the pavilion for several decades. Save it!

We live in Lakewood Ranch and love Lido because it's the closest beach for us. We enjoy the family atmosphere and think the food at the snack pavilion is the best of any at the Sarasota/Manatee beaches. We certainly don't need a 200-seat restaurant at this location! With the number of parking spaces that would be lost to build it, there would not be nearly enough room for restaurant patrons or, more importantly, for the locals who love this beach! If the Lido hotels want an upscale restaurant for their guests, let them build it in one of their hotels! Please leave the Pavilion as it is! Diane Montgomery

Keep Lido Beach Pavilion for families. We love Lido the way it is

This is a very important facility for Sarasota residents, especially families and minorities. There are more than enough expensive, excellent restaurants and Tiki-Bars on St. Armands and Lido. We need family-affordable refreshments and easy beach access.

We have an interest in preserving open access to and community amenities on Lido Beach. Keep the developers at bay.

We don’t need to enhance the pavilion to this degree. There are plenty of restaurants a short walk from here, and having all of this on the beach - where storms will likely impact it - just seems unneeded.

This place is amazing. Improve on what you have but leave it the way it is. It’s so beautiful here.

Lido Pavilion is an amazing place with that old time friendly Florida feel. I come here regularly and it’s my favorite place to visit. The concession people are amazing and you will be destroying the tradition and what brings good people to Lido. Please improve on what you have. You have something special here

Lido Beach is a large breeding area for several types of birds. Please consider that when making this decision and oppose the plan. Please save the pavilion.

I bought a residence years ago because of the quiet family friendly atmosphere. I Always look forward to the peace and serenity of lido beach. This proposal flies in the face of that tranquility. Not only will it change the living quality for the human residents but who knows what it will do to the environment, both plant and animal! I am signing petition to stop the proposed expansion of the pavilion,

Don't do it! Keep Lido public, low-key, and nature-friendly!

It's already challenging for locals to enjoy area beaches. This would make it even worse.

Don't let Lido go the way of Venice.
