I will never go there again if they do this nor will my family. LOVE THIS beach and everything about it, due to its feeling natural not touristy like Siesta key. The state park feeling , the pine trees, the trails, the beach. PLEASE LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

This beach is one of the FEW areas available to the public. It is absolutely beautiful. Located within walking distance of the ever bustling St. Armand's Circle. Where there are PLENTY of restaurants to dine within (even a Daquari Deck)
It's important for the community , as well as, visitors to have public access to a pool AND beach area.
The current snack bar, covered area and bathroom areas are imperative for this beach. There are a number of musical artists & concerts that occur here that are heavily attended.
The current beach chair and beach umbrella system works splendidly. Plus it is accessible and affordable to everyone.
The sea turtles also venture to this area on an annual basis! They build their nests and lay eggs. They're an endangered species.
The current parking area is terrific for all that are able to enjoy this area.
These seem to be many positive points that have been and continue to work extremely well for Sarasota. Why ruin such an amazing place?
The current residents, businesses and hotels that have the view would be permanently damaged by this proposal.
Please DO NOT ruin this quaint lovely and peaceful residential area! The best thing for the city to do is to maintain this area properly!
Update the quality of the structure that is currently there. Keep it one story! It needs some TLC.
Allow EVERYONE to experience this lovely natural treasure!
Not just the rich & greedy.

I do not like the idea of the changes. I come down there every year from Birmingham alabama and can barely afford to do all of the stuff i would like to do. If proposed changes take place my family and I will not be coming back.

We love Lido beach for its quieter beaches and smaller size. Please do not take away the small beach charm and appeal which many of us seek and come to Lido Beach to enjoy. Also, as property owner within walking distance of Lido Beach, it is very important to my family that Lido Beach retain the beautiful and peaceful characteristics that drew us to purchase a home on the Island. We love the Lido Beach Pavilion and pool and do NOT want this sold out to a developer!

This is a public beach with limited parking. The Longboat Key Club and other resorts on Lido have their private beaches.

Don't ruin Lido.
I remember up north of Tampa t Indian shores. Nice old Florida beach condos and motels. Now all gone .Built up and coast ruined. Once you let something like this in it gets bigger and brasher drives away family's. You will end up with a ruined beach from the trash and loud noise levels.

this new plan is a theft of our public beach and a ripoff of the city. Who agreed to this awful idea?only someone who had some financial interest in the outcome it would seem

The parking lot at Lido Beach is routinely at capacity now, with the concession stand having a couple of employees that need parking and most of the customers being beach goers walking up for a snack. In the new incarnation as a 200 seat destination tiki bar and restaurant, there could easily be twenty or thirty employees that need reserved parking along with customers, special event attendees and valet parking all utilizing reserved parking, effectively disenfranchising the beach going public from using their beach.

I'm against the conversion of the Lido Pavilion to a private business. The public as taxpayers needs this area for their access to the beach.

Love outbkf state and hav been coming there to visit family or vacation every year. Webown 3 week’s timeshare on Lido also. Keep the family atmosphere.
