Don’t lose the intimacy of the Lido Pavilion! We don’t need to commercialize all of our beaches in Sarasota!

We have been coming to Sarasota for more than 30 years. Now we own a home in North Sarasota and Lido is our beach of choice. I would hate to see it ruined by excessive development.

Don't give our heritage away. Access to the beach and parking are linked

This beach is a necessary public beach and should be a casual place for visitors and locals to enjoy.

Hotels and the 1% should not be the only ones to have access to the beaches. Let this happen and we can say goodbye to Lido. That is nothing short of a tragedy.

I thought Lido Beach was a bit of paradise as so many call Sarasota when I moved here from Central New Jersey where my beaches were one after another of non affordable (for the average family) private beach clubs providing cabanas and restaurants at a hefty yearly fee for their limited memberships. Seriously does Lido need $100/day cabanas for who?!! Lido Pavilion is simple and sometimes simple is good not everything has to be made bigger and brighter to be better.
