Can’t some places remain for locals? We are the ones who live here year round and pay taxes. We would like some place to relax without ridiculous amounts of tourism.

Please keep the Lido Beach Pavilion and the surroundings as it is. I am a voting, Sarasota resident of 36 years and enjoy our public beach. Site plans that have been presented seem to be short sited. Please reconsider the proposed transformation of the Lido Pavilion.

Lido Beach Pavillion should stay a free, public space. Its not part of a luxury hotel.

My family has been in Sarasota for over 100 years. In my life here, we have watched access to the Gulf be blocked to everyone except the wealthy through uncontrolled development. Please do not give away part of the small remaining public access to private enterprise.

Let’s keep Lido accessible to the common folks. There’s plenty of wealth & private clubs in this town. Don’t privatize our public places

Keep it for the families. We don’t need a bar at the beach!

I am a part-time resident and full-time property OWNER on Lido Key. My grandparents retired to Longboat in the 1940's. I have been coming to Longboat and Lido since I was born. I have been very disappointed to see the Commission's lack of interest in this historic and important and PUBLIC Lido Beach and Pool. I ask that you dump the current ill-advised, poorly thought-out Daquiri Deck proposal. I walk by Daquiri Deck on St. Armand's and think deeply about how Daquiri Deck will approach this historic Beach. I suspect they will serve a bunch of drinks (there name is Daquiri Deck), charge a lot of money, and act like they are doing it for the good of the City. I do not believe that your decision to date on this matter is the right one.

Too many "businesses" are taking away the public use of our beaches. Keep Sarasota beaches open for everyone!!

Have been visiting family in Sarasota since I was a little kid. Lido Beach has always been one of our favorites. This change must not be allowed to happen. Please do the right thing for locals and visitors alike. No expensive, private beach club EVER!

Maintain the asset for public enjoyment for all rather than for private profit for a few.

The only reason my husband I vacation at Lido Key is because of the Lido Pavilion, public spaces and laid back environment. There are a million party beached in Florida! Do not ruin Lido Key by making it a party beach!
