How ridiculous. Lido beach is a gorgeous beautiful serene place. It does NOT need to be turned into a “private” or “semi-private” event space. Parking is already a nightmare. Siesta key was upgraded but no private spaces were included. Let’s treat Lido Beach equally. The proposed upgrade is outrageous.

It's time to think of the public who enjoy this beach as a family tradition. There are plenty of commercial establishments nearby for those who want to indulge in drinking and dining. There's no need to destroy the family atmosphere.

Let’s enjoy what we’ve always had. Can’t anything be simple anymore instead of flashy? We don’t have that kind of population here. It’s older and family oriented. We don’t need a tiki bar

I lived on Lido for over 8 years. If they try to do this new project, it will ruin the charm of the area and it will just be some massive tourist magnet. The residents of Lido and Sarasota should be able to use their beach and have it be affordable. It is a much too small of an area to put in cabanas and a tiki bar. So ridiculous.

1) Traffic is already too crazy as it is. Someone needs to creates two or three more lanes for traffic before you add more attraction to draw more people!!! 2). It’s a piece of Florida history worth saving.

We purchased our vacation home specifically in Sarasota to utilize Lido beach. Which we do daily. I strongly oppose this venture.
