No matter how they spin it, the plans for this beach are over reach. I wonder if the monied interests are contributing to local politicians. I don't see any other reason why they would support it. Upgrade the current amenities, yes, but retain the same character and ambiance. That won't happen with what these people want to do, no matter what they say now.

Don't do this, it is so wrong. The beach is public leave everything that way. Besides there are those of us who are not RICH in this town, the ones that work their butts off and enjoy the beach..

we do not need another restaurant or any more traffic on Lido. The restaurants on the circle are hurting why make more businesses suffer.

Overdevelopment of Lido Key is not sustainable environmentally, as we can see today. Access to Lido Beach, reasonable prices for families must be continued.

Please don’t squeeze out the local families who work so hard to keep our visitors happy - too make the beaches in the area too expensive for us to use is just not the American way

Enough is enough. The Developers and City Commissioners have gone too far now and it is time to put a stop to it. Leave Lido Pavilion alone. To the three Commissioners who support this plan ......it was thought that you were working for the residents of Sarasota and not the applicants of this plan who would benefit at the cost of the public.

Approving this plan will forever change the character of Lido Beach as a welcoming public beach to one more Florida beach that pretends to have public access but doesn't really. Isn't St. Armands Circle and Longboat Key enough - why change Lido?

Lido is our favorite beach. I've lived here almost my entire life and and love lido primarily because you can find parking and enjoy both the pavilion and the beach. Don't take away parking and give to a private company (probably with a valet service taking up much of the public parking) for their profit and expect tax payers to pay taxes for a so called public beach.

I am a senior and swim at the pool everyday when at Lido.
