This is another example of how our City Manager, Tom Barwin, makes a sweetheart deal with developers...........and then ramrods it through the City Commission.

I've lived in Sarasota since we moved to Lido Beach in 1967 when I was a child. This project is utter nonsense, It does not fit with the neighborhood and would appropriate a public facility for the few. Sadly, 2 commissioners are attorneys and the persons proposing the project are the children of attorneys. They should recuse themselves from voting. It is lunacy.

Dear City Commission, Listen to the people that have elected you and please represent them properly. Leave Lido alone.

I am against commercializing the Lido Beach Pavilion. Leave the public beach space the way it is.

Years ago they made a horrible mistake by tearing down the Lido casino. Now they want to tear down another well loved building on Lido. We don't need another daiquiri deck we don't need another commercialized chain restaurant. We are ruining our town with the constant construction. Sarasota is quickly losing its charm. Can we please just leave some things the way they are?

Do not approve the present plan, which will make the Pavilion a very commercial place.

I am not sure why this was not better vetted amongst residents and users before it got all the way to a Lease but clearly many people were not engaged in the process.

The easy access parking is the reason I prefer Lido to Siesta. Please keep the parking and pavillion as is.

As a full time Sarasota resident for 25 years, I have raised my children on Lido Beach. My husband and I walk the beach several times a week and treat ourselves to one of the best lobster rolls in town. Siesta has become so over crowded that it is almost an imposibility to get there anymore or even enjoy. Lido has always been a fabulous family low key beach that offers Sarasota residents an inexpensive way to spend those hot weekends. How can you take that away from the people so that another wealthy corporations can potentially make more money at the expense of our locals?????

One of my favorite places for a family day at the beach! Plenty of amenities already. We don’t need an exclusive area for our residents

Could you kindly please not turn the pavilion into cabana/ tikii bar. We love taking our children to lido beach and often go to pavilion for shade, snacks and much need break from the sun for the kids to be able to sit and relax. The lido pool and pavilion offer great service to its community and for family that might not be able to afford pools ect. please consider your community and their families
