Sarasota City Commission, Money is a powerful draw. But you are not only selling your souls, you are selling my soul and I'm not happy about it. The Lido Beach Pavilion is a unique and historic treasure in Sarasota. It is almost one of a kind and a main reason that my wife and I regularly travel 27 miles to Lido Beach from our Venice home rather than go to Manesota, Caspersen, Brohard, Service Park, Venice or Nokomis Beaches, which are all 4-6 miles away. The food is delicious (every time) at a fair value and the beer is the coldest in the county. The Lido Beach Pavilion is a very enjoyable and I repeat even unique place. Don't take it away from me, my wife and so many others who feel the same way, Alex Chik

Our family loves Lido no only because of the beauty but because of the convenience of the pavillion! It would be a shame to lose it

This is ridiculous. Really? Do we need this? You have St. Armand's Circle that has a little of the night life. Now they want to drag it to the beach and destroy it!

For once, make it about tradition and local residents. The new plans obviously reek of greed and favoring the desires of the well to do elites of our community. Do the right thing for the locals and tourists who have supported this facility for many many years.

I live on Long Island and we have the same things happening in our area. Losing the beach will change the area forever.

To much modernization, ruining the quaint feel and atmosphere that people can enjoy with their children and families. Perfect as is the middle class can afford it now raise prices and drive people away. Why must everything be be ruined because of that almighty buck
