We love Lido beach and the concession area which we use regularly.
We go to walk the beach, swim in the ocean, watch all the fascinating people and the birds, attend occasional church services, eat the delicious hamburgs and watch sunsets. It is a superb public attraction and would hate to lose it.

I have read many of these comments and am very saddened that only five commissioners are not listening to their constituents rather recklessly and with no regard for the people giving our beach to land raping thieves. Do our needs only count at election time? Please listen to your constituents who absolutely do not want a bar on Lido key open until late in the night with no regard for our turtles or sea birds. How about those residents who live only 100 feet away across the street? Don’t they matter, either?

This is one of the nicest beaches around with great amenities open to the public that still has some serenity left, compared to some of the overpopulated, expensive, loud and crazy beaches around. Keep it that way!

I love the quietness I can find at this beach versus other overpopulated and party oriented beaches in the area. I do not want Lido Beach to turn into one of them. Please save the pavilion from being bought and transformed into yet another overpacked, crazy and drunken beach.

Please do not change the Lido Beach Pavillion into a tourist destination! This is the very last beach left that is still unique to this towns history!!

Public beaches should not become privatized. The late night tiki bar and restaurant would change completely the atmosphere and accessibility of Lido Beach. Shameful!!

Taking away the Lido Pavilion would be tragic. It has a special place in the history of Sarasota and within the hearts of the local families that play there today.
