This is one of the only place around like this. Please keep the history alive. We do not need more nightlife. We need more wildlife.

We have lived and vacationed in Sarasota since 1975. We have seen the boomtown rats infest this city. Please save Lido from all this greed.

It would be tragic to lose this public “old Florida” family beach. Caving in to big money does an injustice to residents who utilize, love and enjoy this beach year round.

Please leave Lido alone, you've already messed up Siesta.

Any beach restoration must guarantee public restoration of lido pavilion. The sunsets are for the many not the few.

We are not in favor of the proposed changes to Lido Pavilion. Residents of Sarasota deserve access to a free beach without fees continuing the legacy of Lido Pavilion.

We believe this is an attempt to privatize something that should be for public access. There are enough private beachfront resorts and hotels here already.

I have lived in Sarasota for over 40 years. Too much of Sarasota has already been destroyed. It has become overbuilt, crowded, and is turning into a pretentious concrete jungle! Preserve Lido beach for it's natural beauty, and accessibility for ALL of Sarasota residents!

Would like to preserve the feel & access of Lido Beach and the pavilion. Have many fond memories from my childhood.

I really enjoy that Lido Pavilion has free parking and I can go whenever I want. It also has the only bathrooms on the beach. Privatizing it would be a shame.

The Lido pavilion is one of the reasons I bought on Lido key. It is accessible to the public and it would be a travesty to see it privatized!

Please do not destroy the character of Lido Beach. I vacation annually on Lido Key. I travel to Sarasota multiple times yearly and always choose to spend the majority of my beach time on Lido Key. The low-key nature of the public beach and the charming and historic Lido Pavilion are what draw me to spend my vacation dollars in this part of Sarasota. I would very likely seek out elsewhere what would be lost on Lido Key with the proposed development. I currently recommend Lido Key to others making Florida vacation plans, but would not be compelled to do that either since people can go to any coastal area to get what is being proposed to replace the current pavilion facilities. Please preserve what is unique about Lido Key.

I have been traveling with my wife to visit her family in Sarasota for about twenty years. Lido key is an absolute gem and feels like it has maintained its charm of decades past. Lido's beaches and public parks are beautiful and not overly developed. I fear the cities plans to "update" the pavilion will spoil the character of this great place. Currently the pavilion is perfect for families and people of all ages. The proposed restaurant/daiquiri deck/bar area at the pavilion is a mistake and short sided.
