These windows are a memorial to our Confederate ancestors and should not be removed. We cannot erase history......history is just that HISTORY and should be preserved for all. What a shame that it has come to this.

Please, please leave the windows where they are. Why remove something that is about history.... you just simply can not rewrite history by taking away things that are a part of our history. Use some common sense!

Lee and Jackson were both very devout Christians. They were men of worth who honored their comittments, and great leaders. We could only wish we had more men of their stature today.

Please do not remove these beautiful windows which mean so very much to all of us Southerners who are alive & to those who are dead. They are a part of history. Robert E Lee was a fine Christian gentleman as was Stonewall Jackson. The call to remove the windows is a call from people who know nothing of what they speak. Please stand firm or you will lose the confidence of those of us who are still alive & do know of what we speak. I am sure that those of you upon whose shoulders this decision falls are intelligent & know that all both sides of this argument must be given equal weight. Thank you. Anne Overman whose great grandfather was in THE WAR .

What I wrote to the Cathedral: Please do not remove the Lee-Jackson windows. Not only do they include different Confederate flags, but also the US, Virginia, US Army Artillery, and US Army Corps of Engineers (where I currently work) flags. You disrespect ALL of these flags, as well as these two great men, if you remove these windows.
