Sanitizing our history, tearing down our historic monuments is no better than the Taliban blowing up ancient Buddhist monuments, and no better than ISIS blowing up Babylonian ruins and artifacts.

Beautiful, historic windows commemorating 2 devoutly religious men. We have taken a horribly wrong turn in our country if such decent historic figures cannot be honored in our national cathedral!

They are a part of our history, and both were God fearing men who served their country according to their convictions with honor. Leave the windows alone!

You should get the full history before making knee jerk decisions such as this.

Preserve history and heritage or is the stance that only certain history and heritage and ancestry matters. I hope the National Cathedral will not succumb to political correctness and heritage and history cleansing.

All history is important. CSA history is also USA history. A lot of CSA veterans also served in the US Army. This ISIS like banning, destroying and taking away things does not help anybody and HURTS a lot of people who respect and honor ALL history and ALL veterans who ever fought for America or on American soil. It was the "American Civil War", it was literally brother against brother in some cases. The Union troops massacred Indians and raped black women as they marched through the South but we aren't persecuting them or desecrating their graves. The Native Americans are not calling for the removal of Union Army history and they were abused all kinds of ways by the federal gov't and army. STOP THIS RIDICULOUSNESS. History is just history. Learning ALL of history can only HELP people and not hurt them. A nation that doesn't know where it has been can not know where it is going. I know where we are going, straight to communism and Hell from all this stupidity and doing what the Nazis did and communists do and ISIS is doing. The Nazis burned all Jewish history books and other books they did not like or agree with. How the hell did America get on this useless hate filled bandwagon of pure stupidity and anti freedom communistic ISIS like idea of destruction of history and the denial of rights to law abiding citizens to pay their respects to Confederate dead in Cemeteries. This madness has got to stop. God save this country from its own darn stupidity and hate of history and long dead Civil War veterans.
