Very disappointing news, Launceston MIU is vital for our community, this closure while temporary at the moment is just adding pressure to other MIUs, the Ambulance service and A and E department. It must be addressed swiftly.

If you don’t have a hospital to help people out of hours then what’s the point of building new homes and schools, putting even more pressure on the doctors in launceston (which is small as it is and can’t cope) government seriously need to take a look at themselves before messing with people’s lives! They are an absolute joke

Liskeard, Stratton, and Bodmin have new build hospitals, whereas Launceston has been renovated. Launceston's MIU is vital for the town and covers huge catchment area. Launceston is furthest away from Derriford and Truro and our public transport is very poor. A & E at the major hospitals can't cope. It is vital to keep this MIU open.

Access to health care across the county is diabolical at the best of times, closure of this unit just adds to pressures elsewhere and will require people to have to travel further or delay accessing treatment

We are in desperate need of this unit. With new homes being built, the doctor centre been rebuilt in areas, people who don't drive and don't need the to waste time in a big hospital. Travelling miles away is not necessary. Keep it open for all the good it has done and could continue to.
