Why close this facility? It’s well used and very necessary to the local community as well as to visitors

We need this vital service to be re-opened ASAP. Understand there are staff shortages but it’s not fair that we should have to travel to Liskeard or Stratton when we are in need of miu treatment.

Launceston need this facility. The last 18 months have proved that health care in Launceston is falling well below most areas of the country.
Trying to get any sort of consultation at the medical centre is impossible even if told to get appointment by one of the practice nurse. Was just told be receptionist that it was not possible to get an appointment that week or even a telephone appointment as the surgery were reorganising ring back early the following week.
When the new housing estates are complete what is going to happen?

Always the first place to go if you have an issue out of hours, It can often save you an unwelcome trip to Plymouth. We need to keep this hospital open or we will loose it!!!!

Equal healthcare provision for all was a core pillar for the NHS. I apperciate that funds are stretched and it's a cost per person, but it's unacceptable to have areas of Cornwall which are so far from MIUs or A&Es. These MIUs in the past year have been not as active only because of lockdown. Now with 10000's of vistors Cornwall is already reaching breaking point. Locals and vistors need local access.
No one should be waiting for hours for a Amblance because of their local MIU being closed. There is lack of public transport, many can't drive, can't afford +£100 taxi to the hospital, and live alone so have no one to drop them off. You are cutting these people off from healthcare provision - saying they are not worth it.

Proven, over and over again, to be a vital community service and, in the light of rapid and ill-considered housing development, likely to prove ever more essential.
