We need this! We should not have to travel to receive treatment. Has anyone really thought this out?! There are a lot of elderly people in our area. Travelling to receive treatment is not an option for them, or even for other members of our community. The fact it has been closed without little notification is not acceptable!

This is essential for Launceston. It is to far to travel to a major unit when you are bleeding or have broken something.

This is disgraceful- in a town of this size, to remove with little warning, a vital resource that serves a large demographic of vulnerable groups I.e the elderly with no access to transport is poor.
Maybe consider stopping a consultants fees and paying some nurses an incentive to increase their hours or heaven forbid- recruit to the hospital!

I had a dizzy spell and fall yesterday.
I live near Launceston, but was told by 111 that I couldn’t attend Launceston Clinic because it is closed until October. So I sat for 6 hours in A&E at Truro!

With an ever increasing population our town needs this vital service. Many residents in the community are unable to drive to the nearest MIU or have no access to transport to get there.

Vital to keep Launceston MIU open, not everyone has transport and it will result in more calls to the all ready overstretched Ambulance Service.

We need to save our local minor injury unit. We have a huge no of youth and elderly that require this life changing service.

Vital service for locals, tourists snd to ease pressure on our one main hospital in Cornwall. Using this keeps care nearer to the community, vehicles off the roads and pressure off urgent care centres.

I no longer have small children, but the minor injuries unit was invaluable then. I can not imagine how parents will cope if this goes, with a 45 minute trip to Derriford

The MIU is essential to the residents of Launceston and the surrounding areas. Not everyone has a car or access to transport to allow them to travel to other MIUs. There is a lot of new housing being built so the population will be increasing significantly in the future. I am concerned that this may be the first step towards permanent closure.

With close to 20,000 patients in Launceston and add to that the summer influx, a MIU is essential for the welfare and health of this community.
