It's too far to go anywhere else in an emergency.

A vital service which also helps keep numbers down at the A&E departments in the main hospitals

With the town and countryside population growing I think it vital that the L’son Unit remains available to those of us that find it difficult to travel further afield.

We need to keep this unit open for locals, our nearest is over an hours drive away (if you have a car) and our 3 major hospitals are struggling to cope with emergencies now.. over 5 hours in an ambulance outside is a disgrace in 2021!! More houses are being built so more people will need care

Very much needed to stay open as Launceston is getting bigger with more houses being built.

I understand why it was closed due to staff shortages, but what I would want is a solid assurance that it will re-open and by when. It is a long way to similar facilities and the Launceston MIU serves a large hinterland.

This would if it closed be the most stupid decision and would also be the death nail of the hospital which is much needed in the area

Closing these units will put more pressure on the major hospitals.

A&E at Treliske are already struggling to cope with the number of people attending, unless there's a nearer A&E that I am unaware of how will they cope if this one closes and which one will be next! We need more not less.

In the absence of a local hospital we are reliant on hard-to-reach GP surgeries, pharmacies or else a 30 to 40-minute drive (presuming you have a car) to Derriford in Plymouth. A growing population in Launceston needs more than an absent MIU!

This town needs it's MIU. We as a town are quite isolated. They say it's closed till October, unless something is done soon it may end up permanently closed.
